Call to Fon Du Lac 

This past Sunday, I accepted the call to serve at Faith Lutheran Church in Fon du Lac. There isn’t enough room to express our thanks to God and to all of you for what have been very special years in our lives. While it will be very hard to leave, we go confident that God will provide a new servant leader to shepherd Peace. In that regard, please note the following:

1. This week all of you should have received a letter from the council containing a survey and announcing a pre-call meeting with our District President, Pastor John Guse this Thursday May 8^th at 7pm. It is strongly encouraged that all members (men, women, youth) attend. At this meeting, Pastor Guse will discuss the calling process as well as the seminary assignment process if we choose to go that route. Please fill out the surveys you received and either place them in the box on the back ledge, or mail them to Peace (2145 Arcadia Road) no later than Tuesday May 6^th. 

2. The council will be assembling a vacancy transition team Chaired by Mr. Len Hachmeister to handle all the tasks that come along with a vacancy. The members of this team will each work with Linda Syrylo to assemble small work groups to do the necessary tasks. The object is to spread the work out, and involve many so that our ties remain close, and no one person is saddled with too much work.

New Sermon Series Continues 

See What Your Brother Left You in His Will!

In the will? You may be hoping that you are in your rich uncle’s will. If you don’t have a rich uncle, we’re sorry. But if you’re in God’s family, you have a very rich Brother. And He’s left you a lot!  If you’d like to know more about the Christian family and about what you’ve already inherited, we invite you to check out Pastor Mike’s new sermon series. Every Sunday at 10:00 A.M.  Bring the family...we love everyone! 

Confirmation Class 

This Wednesday, May 7 and next Wednesday, May 14 only the 8^th graders due to be confirmed will meet for class at 6:30pm. Confirmation Sunday will be May 18. The younger grades are done for the summer. Have fun! 

Women’s Bible Study 

This Saturday, May 10 at 10:00am is our monthly Women’s Bible Study. This is a small group setting with studies and lessons that really focus on women, women’s issues, and women’s perspectives. All women are welcome and we hope to see you there! 

Camp Peace 

Our postcards have arrived for our summer day camp program. Please grab some at the back of church this morning and hand them out. Spread the word of Camp Peace ! 

Flowers 

Flowers today were donated by Terry and Cassie Drachenberg in loving remembrance of Toby’s birthday. Thank You for sharing with us. 

Parents of Young Children 

Located on the ledge in the back of church are some coloring packets for your children to use during services. Please feel free to take one.
